"Design a sampler showcasing a historically relevant typeface. The design should include information on its origins and the designer behind it."
I chose Bodoni and attempted to create a sampler which felt luxurious, to reflect Mr Bodoni's passion for high quality ink and paper. This was also an attempt to modernise and steer away from the classic representation of a letherbound hardcover volume with gold-leaf lettering. The black packaging cantains several showcards displaying the various weights. It is all also very tactile with different textured papers.
I don't believe I was very successful but perhaps modernately so. I shall redo this in the future. Creating packaging by hand is harder than I expected!
